hi all i seem to have a slight vibration when driving 1st thing in the morning, i drive about 10 mins or so, i can feel it through the steering wheel (moving side to side when hands off the sterring wheel) and also the gearlever seems to shake aswell thats the best way to describe it i do need some  tyres soon can that cause the wobbling/ vibration feeling through the steering ?

if this happens between 40-60 mph chances are its your front wheels needing balanced ... could be some other suspension issue but wheel balance would be my first check

it seems to happen between 10-40 around town but on motorways it seems to go the faster you drive

sounds like you may have a wheel/tyre running out of true,jack up each wheel and spin it and see if you have side to side run out.I had a granada years ago that did the same thing and it turned out to be the front tyres causing the problem(it was fine at high speed).at about 20mph the steering wheel would rock slightly

Swap the fronts to the back , and put the backs on the front, see what difference it makes.

Also, check the treads and the walls for bulges or damage.  When you get your new tyres, have them on the back, if there is anything wrong with your front suspension you might as well have the oldest tyres on the front till it's sorted.

you hit any pot holes?? sounds like what i had after the snow a buckled wheel on pass side
