When I swapped an elite interior into my 96 I just cut the plugs off and used choc block connectors to join them.

In your 95 you will have the old style seat belt tensioner (explosive type) in your 98 you will have the electronic version with wires going to it.

I would think you now have no side airbags and seat belt tensioners.

You can change the seat bases over on say CDX to MV6. But as there are so many more motors on the elite seats may be a lot more required.

Sorry if this is not very helpful.

You're going to end up with airbag light problems fitting a pre facelift interior into a mini facelift car. Seatbelt tensioner and seat side airbags will be missing from the system.

yes. You need a code reader to determine the fault. Airbag & seat belt pre tensioner are reasons why I suggested it might be easier to use your seat frames & remove the leather seat covers from your Elite .... abit of messing, but I'm sure it could be done.  :-/

I would check with your insurance company as well, your removing a safety device and they might not like that ;)

don't forget the side airbag penetrates the seat cover. No easy way around that.
