« on: 21 May 2010, 16:10:30 »

Is there a "how-to" on fitting a towbar on an estate?

All replies (apart from p*ss takes) appreciated.

I have just fitted a brink detachable to mine and its was easy to do,the holes in the bottom of the rear chassis legs are already there and the boot floor above is dimpled where you need to drill.I used a 7 way bypass relay on mine but not sure if its strictly neccesary( I was concerned that the bulb failure system would have a fit when the trailer was attached)

edit: too my knowledge the brink is the same as genuine vauxhall and the removeable bit fits in the space provided where the jack etc goes

if you have alook under the carpet each side of the spare wheel door you will see little nipples where you need to drill holes for the towbar. it pretty straight forward mate.
