couple of things to try:

1) unplug the MAF sensor, does that help?
2) Age / miles of plugs?
3) Do a paperclip test  :y

73 is MAF, was it unplugged when you did the test? If not unplug it now and take it for a spin

Hi. I have got my spark plugs out at the moment hunting down my misfire. Very similar sounding to yours but mine goes after 4 miles or so.

A few years back, I had something very similar and after changing the plugs and leads it was still there and it turned out to be the DIS pack down the back of the engine.

Mine stays all the time. Did only start today though. Hoping it is not the DIS pack! Mainly happens when pulling off quickly or using kickdown.
