Not starting
« on: 26 May 2010, 17:22:05 »

My Omega has been off the road for a couple months and started it up yesterday. Ran out of fuel on short test drive. Now put fuel in & wont start. Engine management light seems to have stopped working and dont seem to be getting spark or fuel up. Is this an immobiliser issue? Any ideas please? Thanks

First things first. Make sure there`s plenty of fuel. Check to see if EML illminates with ign on, if not replace or swapout with a good one. Clip for any codes.

Thanks Rob, I'll try putting in another gallon tomorrow. In a bit of a panic as my Saab 9-5 killed its head gasket the other day and so I need the omega back on the road for work.
