Can I have a go in it?

I promise I won't turn the TC on :P

Too late!  ;D

With Snow predicted tommorow, i thought it my duty to test the tracton control!

I took it to the same bit of road you tested your 2.5 project, backed it in, car angled up high. Then floored it, TC light flickered on and off. I did it a few times to make sure!  ;D

I am going to be good for a few days, see what i can get it to run at. My 2.2 was averaging 26 with spirited driving to work, if i can get 23+ i would be dead chuffed with that. Means i can get almost 50mpg on gas!
I said I won't turn the TC ON

TC OFF?? in an auto.... in Snow?? i'll have no control... braking would be an issue!

I think the snow is suppoed to come in the afternoon, but its its snowy tommorow, i'll be taking the 2.2 manual.....
Whimp, I will be using the MV6 - wide tyres for minimal grip in snow and ice.....

I am known at work for commuting in the Westie when it's 'kin cold, chiefly because it's in the garage and I can't be @rsed to scrape frost off the Omega. Not sure about tomorrow though. Snow is a bit scary. :-/

Saying that, the tractor lacks any grip at the back.

Mrs TheBoy was suitably impressed (read furious) at my driving sideways between junctions around MK shopping centre just before Christmas when I lost my rag....

The 2.2 has narrower tyres, manual transmission so i can use the clutch to brake....i am soo taking the 2.2 if its snowy

Last time in the snow, i touched the brake, big mistake!! car slid all over the place.

To slow a car in the snow.... i was doing say 20/25mph.... put it in first, pull up the clutch, the car slows, to around 10mph without using the brake pedal... speed up with gas, dip the clutch and bring it up again to slow!
