NEW KEY.............
« on: 02 January 2008, 10:44:21 »

Gotta nip down to VX now, to order and pay for a new key, as my open button on key fob is very predantic, stand there for ages trying to get it to open the door. Jaime did do a quick job on it, knew it would'nt last long, have to bite the bullet now, as have'nt seen any come up on ebay, cost £49 for the key and £40 to programme it, they say THEY have to programme it :(

Thats the ones 2nd & 3rd, but I already bought one of those and they're not megamoss, which caused Jaime a problem, having to take out the gubbins from my old fob, which the open door switch was naffed, quick solder repair, but its going now e.g., works and does'nt work, pain in the arse.

Vx charged £75 bucks today £26.25 for the sender and £37.50 for the key plus VAT, to be honest only really needed the sender ;D............ewill be in Watfor this weekend from Friday onwards to sunday, so if Jaime's free or around? :-/

Been there too. Got fed up with asking sellers which one it is. 26 quid for the remote doesn't sound too bad to me. Already have a spare key so maybe I'll go down that route if they'll sell one without a Tech 2 ripoff to pair it. ;D

1) Go to Evans Halshaw near Jnc 11 and prepared to be shafted.

2) Buy bits from ebay and see http://theboy.omegaowners.com

That is a stretch of road that holds the honour of 1 of 2 places where I've felt scared on the ZX10 - the other being the A421 just outside of Milton Keynes when I was sliding up the road towards a tall roundabout!
