HT Leads
« on: 05 June 2010, 23:30:45 »

Hello everyone,

sorry i havent posted for a while been very busy with work...

I have a problem with the miggy, one of the ht leads has broken, and i am more than 300 miles from home on our hols. Are the HT Leads easy to change on a N plate 3.0 Elite???

I have no tools and not alot of spare money to take it to a garage, hopefully i should be able to do this but don't really know where to start.

Thanks in advance

Anthony

might be worth posting where you are? Someone near you might be able to help  :y

Its straight forward, if a little fiddly, unplug at the plug and again at the DIS pack

No, its a pita and it depends on the size of your hands and forearms. Its not impossible or technically difficult though. In case you dont know where it is its at the back of the engine underneath the bottom of the windscreen on the passenger side. :y

Depends how big your hands are  ;D

Easier with scuttle off but guessing you don't have many tools to hand, its directly behind the engine block. I can just about reach it, but i have small hands / skinny arms

No DIS pack on mine  :P

I am usually called upon when a well known admin who is rather large  ::) Needs gadget hands...

I bodged a Senator HT lead on TB's dead 2.5, while we were testing it. Think that had the scuttle off
