1999 X30XE duff temp sender, thermostat or rad fan
« on: 06 June 2010, 21:28:22 »

Hello!

New to the forum, but now bought my second ever Omega. Got rid of my first one, a '95 2.0 CD Estate back in 2001, now have bought me a '99 3.0 Elite Saloon.

Question is that the temp gauge is permanently buried at the low point. What could this be down to? Duff temp sender or thermostat?  :-?

The temp sensor sits right at the back of the block, on the coolant bridge. The sensor with just one wire is the temp gauge sender unit, & to test it, if you ground/earth the wire that should go to the sensor, the the gauge should read fully HOT!  :y  :y
