Door lock button
« on: 12 June 2010, 21:23:03 »

Apparently  it opens on the 'blip' (so solenoid must be working) but will not lock, need to use the key. I seem to recall this problem before and I am sure I just put a bit of wd40 around the button :-/ :-/ :-/
Any other idea's......

Could be sticky mechanism

Try removing the door catch assembly to clean and re-grease all the various levers and spindles, or simply remove the door card and give it a good blast with silicon grease spray.

I suspect you will end up replacing the solenoid in the end anyway but might be worth a go.

BTW, give the door lock/catch assembly a good spray, not the door card!  Just though I better get in first!
