Apex Springs
« on: 13 June 2010, 10:40:49 »

I'm looking at a lowering kit on ebay, it has apex springs and bilstein shocks. Does anyone have apex springs fitted or tried them on an omega? The kit lowers by 40mm.

If anyone has pictures (minifacelift in poplar sea blue if poss lol) wth
apex springs fitted or comments it would be greatfully appreciated.

I've got a Facelift Mig with -40mm Apex spring kit, and I'm using FK Automotive shocks all round.

Very happy with the ride, as it's firmed it up nicely withouth making it feel rock hard !.  Plus the FK shocks have been made for the use of shorter spring set up ?.

Take a look here for the shocks (sent you to all the options, as not sure what sort of price you want to pay ?.

Hope it helps ?.

FK stuff is decent, but Apex stuff is erm, "built to a price".

Crap springs can sometimes make the dampers work harder and wear them out quicker...............

Just my humble opinion!

True Pedro, you get what you pay for, but had Apex on other my other vehicles and not had any problems with them yet.
Trouble is with some manufacture's, you end up paying for a 'name' along with the product itself !  :-?

Hope my car doesn't bottom out tomorrow morning on my way to work now I've said that  ;D
