2.2 Dti- EGR Valve Removal
« on: 28 June 2010, 20:35:54 »

Can the EGR valve be blanked off on the 2.2DTi engine, I did thuis to my 2.5TDi Land Disco and it made a difference in fuel ecomomy, will this do the same on the 2.2 Dti Omega (Isusu) Engine?

Has anyone done this and have they noticed any difference at all?

I was told that the 2.2Dti was a design from Izusu, I could be wrong.
I know the 3.0Dti is definately a Izusu Lump.

And I can tell you that the 2.2DTi was also one of, if not the first car engine to use a variable vane turbocharger, in both the Opel / Vauxhall and Saab Range.
