Engine Temperature Display
« on: 29 June 2010, 09:14:00 »

Hi guys, me again. Firstly i would like to say how helpful you have been. This time i need to know why it is that my Dashboard Engine Temperature dial is only coming on intermittently. e.g. I start the car (dial not working) drive a few miles (starts working) drive a few more miles (drops to 0 again). When working the needle sits nicely in the middle area (normal i think?). Anyone else had this one. Mine is on a 2.0 straight 4 ecotec facelift W reg. Thanks. Les

Why oh why was there never a V8 Omega????
Such a missed oppurtunity.
Look forward to the Cadillac ATS & ATS-V. Maybe a re-badged one will replace the Miggy as a RWD runner?

check the temp sensor is not loose, its a tinny little connector which goes onto a brass connector directly behind the engine block. Its up high so easily reachable from top, a mirror against the bulk head lets you see more clearly  :y

Oh and also make sure the dash is seated correctly push that back firmly
