TC Light
« on: 22 June 2010, 20:20:50 »

TC light came on yesterday for no apparent reason. Once I restarted it went out and stayed out. Done about 60 miles in total and it came on again.
Any suggestions? No symptoms, just the light.  :y

Any ABS light or heavy steering? Did the speedo carry on working?

Anyone else in car (front passenger seat).

Is your TC button next to the Stereo volume knob?

Even if not, was it inadvertently pressed when operating another button in the row?

Just me in car and the button was the 1st thing I checked. It has just got to 150000 miles so I think it is rigged to play up now  ;D

TC light still coming on when it wants to. It can be after 1 mile or 200 miles. Lights up as normal goes out with ignition, switch works fine.
It just comes on and stays on randomly. Don't know where to start  :(

Check the connections at the "transducer" thingys .. rear drive shafts .. its where the TC gets its info from ..

There used to be a guide to the ABS ECU, the first part of which was how to check these things ... but I can't find it in any of the Guide Indexes.. :(

Edit .. found it .. for some unknown reason its under V6 - Engines !

http://www.omegaowners.com/forum/YaBB.pl?num=1152729807

Not certain it will help .. but it might

Have to concur with the above.....my TC light started doing that....then the ABS light as well...then the steering heavy/speedo dying/GPS failure etc

ABS/TC ECU methinks
