« on: 30 June 2010, 11:42:50 »

hello all
i'm new to the site and to omega's so please be kind to me
i just got given a 52 plate 2.2 cdx auto with 73k on the clock from my father-inlaw and was wondering , when i drive the car seems to follow the camber of the road a lot , is this normal  ? my tyre pressure is 30 psi and there is a wobble between 55 and 83 ( not that i have been that fast ;) )
can anyone shed some light
also  where can i get the grill thats all black mesh and is it easy to fit bearing in mind i know nothing about cars
many thanks and i do have more question i will ask after checking the forum topics

Hello, and welcome!!
Does the car "rattle" or "knock" a bit on bumps too?

Probably the drop links if it does. (really easy half hour job)

Wheel wobble around 50mph is usually a sign of A balance issue... I will be corrected if I'm wrong...

Does this just happen when you driving normally or when your braking etc.??

Are there any noises witin the car ie rummbling when travelling...

Check tyre wear pattern ... especialy the INSIDE edges - most folks only look at the outer 1/3rd !!! - wear there points to worn wishbone bushes which also contribute to "tram lining" (the fancy name for following lorry tracks on motorways !!)

The grill you describe sounds like you want an "irmscher" one or posibly the "prodrive" one which is more of a "mesh" design .. check the "parts section" here .. or fleabay .. but they are not that common and can get expensive .. :(

Found this one .. is it the sort of thing you want ??

Entwood these grills you mentioned don't fit on 2.2 or any other facelift model.

there are no knocks or bangs at all and yes i think it is the balancing on the tyres for speed wobble , it only seems to follow the camber on b roads . as to the grill , yes thats what i want but they dont fit the facelift model ?
