Central locking
« on: 01 July 2010, 16:33:50 »

Thanks to the guys who answerede my query on ignition key replacement.
Now my central locking ain't working. The flashers flash but the locks do not actuate. I think it may be something to do with not having my tailgate properly closed over a long journey last weekend, and then trying to lock the car.

Hi
Don't think the partially open tailgate would be the cause of your problem.  When we had a dog I regularly used to leave the tailgate open when parked so the dog did not overheat, but lock the main car remotely to stop theft. (There was a rigid guard between dog and passenger compartment so dog could not protect the contents).  The remote locking still works fine, the dog unfortunately succumbed over a year ago.

Elite now gone.  Bought an X-Type 4x4.  If there had been an Omega 4x4 I would have bought that instead.  We really liked the Omega, but I wanted 4x4.

Thank you Rob G - fuse *20 was the problem, now fixed.
One always fears the worst and often the answer is quite simple.
