i picked up two voltage errors when i was doing calibration last night, we put it down to the car stalling

You're calibrating again? Are you having problems?


no, just decided that after 3000 miles i could get better economy from it so decided to have another crack at mapping.

far better this time, and a lot easier, it seems the more mileage it does the easier it is to work with

now lost the idle/pick up hesitancy, feels a lot smoother and am getting at least 5mpg  :y

Well worth converting, then? ;D

On a serious note, now mine is running almost A1 on gas, I am planning to take exact note of the mapping points, and shift them down a bit to improve economy - I average about 18mpg on an enthusiastic run...

Remember that for most of your mileage, it will be in closed loop mode with the Lambda sensors controlling mixture, so changing the LPG map will just result in the main ECU adjusting it back again.

However... I suspect the really interesting thing to do at this point might be to put a wideband lambda sensor on it 8-)

Actually, I was thinking you and I were due to meet up again soon  ::)  ;D

I think that's a much better idea. Along with an Opelscan I'm hoping to blag, that can read live data  :)

Hopefully that way, we could get it pretty much spot on?

In addition, we could try better placing the injector nozzles in another manifold, pop some proper LPG spark plugs in, and hopefully that should put the icing on the cake  8-)

Give me a shout when you're free - and start spraying one of your Lambdas with Plus Gas on a regular basis...  ;D

Ho ho ho ... you mentioned you had some leave due?

Well, me too now. hopefully, week after next (commencing 14th I THINK) I should have a week off. Maybe a friday attached to a weekend?

We'll confirm for sure in the next couple of days - you need to buy an LPG kit!! :)

I need to get in touch with Jeremy and decide on a tank option that'll fit.

Anyone ever tried to fit a 235/45/17 in the spare wheel carrier? Cos that's about the size of a useful vertical doughnut tank :-/ Guess I'll try with one of my wheels. I need to check the fronts to make sure my recent tyre shopping didn't result in the wheel nuts getting over-tightened ::)
