upgrades
« on: 08 July 2010, 21:14:01 »

Hey there. Have an Omega 2.6 mv6 auto. Fancy maybe putting on a few basic upgrades for a few extra BHP. Nothing fancy but know nothing about that sort of thing really, any advice appreciated. Rodders

By far the best increase in performance for the smallest cost would be...

Sell it and buy a 3.2 manual! :)

Sorry...

Lame jokes aside though, what I said is true. You can most likely swap to a 3.2 for almost nothing. Nothing you can do to your 2.6 will give you that much more BHP for the money. In fact there's very little in the way of 'basic upgrades' that you can just 'put on' at all.

I know fitting 3.0 camshafts into a 2.5 is a popular mod for a decent BHP gain, but I'm no sure if this applies to 3.2/2.6.

It does, and its the only worthwhile improvement  :y

Adds about 15-20bhp
