Alarm light flashing after locking is normal. Is the EML light on (orange pic of engine)

The car has more than likely got an immobiliser fitted,to stop the alarm going off insert your key into the ignition and turn it one click so that the dashboard lights up.Don't start the car but instead set the central locking with the keyfob first to unlock then lock. The alarm should stop making a noise now and you should be able to start the car.I hope that helps

Yes or no. Could try paperclip test here http://www.omegaowners.com/forum/YaBB.pl?num=1189022687
Post up results sounds like a crank sensor failing (code 19)

Look at my post above yours and click on the red link. Very doubtful to be immobiliser, if it was the "lightning" light would constantly flash whilst cranking engine. As said click on the link, read it carefully and then test :y
