I need to replace one of my oxygen sensors. I last did this when i changed the sutobox due to one being damaged. The one i fitted was an after market one and the lead was miles too long. I doubled it up and cable tied the excess together & tucked it up to keep it away from harm, or so i thought. Anyway, over time it has become free, dropped down & become damaged. Hence the need for a replacement.
My problem is that alot of websites list the same part as a replacement with a 560mm lead. Thsi is at least twice the lingeth it should be so i sought an alternative.
Vauxhall advise that the Autobox one is no longer avaliable & to use tha manual one. My dealer does not stock this so i cannot check for visible differences & I am not going to fork out £118 without seeing it first.
So i went to GSF this morning where i got one for £25. Tho only problem i can see is that i wil have to use the old block connector & splice in the new sensor & lead that came with it.
Is the wiring quite straight forward, as in colour coding or is it more complicated?
Any advice gratefully received.
Thanks Jez
