Does anyone know if its ok to use hammerite on brake calipers? cheers

I've used it for years, I keep it away from pads/pistons, only use silver, no bright colours

Yup, works a treat, no reason why you shouldn't use any colour you like.  :-? Mine are "Opel OPC Blue".

yeah ive just been n bought smooth silver to do the calipers, im not one for bright fake look performance breaks, just want to clean them up n get em lookin nice really.

OK, Hammerite looks good in Silver, hammered finish or smooth both look well. Mine are not trying to look like racing brakes, just tidy ones, and you don't see that much of the Calipers behind standard CDX Alloys.

Yes OK the Griffins are a little "showy".

Yeah they do look good on yours, they match well with the colour of the car.

I was just on about bright colours mainly, i used that foliatec stuff years ago when i was a lil boy racer, it looked good back then (Weve all been there) but now ive grown up abit  ;D i want it to just look tidy :)

 plus hammerite i suppose is better against rust and gives a good finish.

No problems using hammerite but it aint what it was due to the EC chemical police outlawing the solvents that were used in the original formula >:(
