New oil leak - coincidence?
« on: 19 July 2010, 21:44:53 »

A few months ago I had my ABS ECU off for repair. Now I find I have an oil leak in exactly the area I was working!

I know it is a new leak because while I was working around there the whole of the area was bone dry, now the top of the ABS pump has a light coating of oil.

I don't believe in coincidences - is there an oil feed in that area I could have disturbed while removing and/or refitting the ECU?

Cheers,
Gaz

Good point! Hadn't thought of that. (The PAS reservoir being one of the things I undid and moved aside.)

Would burning PAS fluid smell of diesel? I ask because I noticed such a smell on my way in to work this morning a couple of times and just put it down to following a particularly smelly oil-burner!
