I have owned quite a few of each.

The Omega is a more advanced and better handling car.... but I will take the Senator every single time. :)

It is one of those "special" cars, those that have an unquantifiable something. It really does stir my soul.

Oh and I think the Senator is more reliable ;)

i have 2 Omega facelifts, but i still have a soft spot for the old Senator...

I did over 2,000 miles in 2 weeks in Senny in Europe this year, never missed a beat.

Cracking cars... the omega is far more refined at speed.

Umm. A tough one. I'm with Laidback. V6 Omega is the better car in most respects, though plagued with niggles at times, but the Senator has "something" that's missing on the Omega.

I think it's down to the little bit of demarkation between the Carlton and Senator which marked the Senator out as something special, whereas with the Omega they almost went the other way and tried to make them all look identical regardless of what was under the bonnet.

Ive voted for the Omega, ive never had a Senator but if the pole was between an Omega and a Monza GSE I still would have voted for the Omega, as an everyday car its far better

i've had both, omega's the better all round car, especially the spec, but i did have an ex-plod senator 24v manual, it was stupidly fast, as long as you never need a dual-mass-flywheel, they're great!! i love the senator interior though, it might not be as well equipted, but that lcd dash and curvy leather console, brilliant! and its real wood trim in senators! does anyone else think the elite grille on the mini facelift omegas was a hint back to the senator..................?

Having owned a few Omegas and driven a Senator around europe (although a 24V slush box).

The Omega is a generation ahead, better ride, better handling, better balance, more low down torque.......nicer interior (I dont like the 80's style interiors).

The bottom line is .....the Senator is old hat technology and it shows.

i thought the omega would win hands down on this site but its closer than i thought it would be, so ill let it run a bit. it would be even closer if only pepole who owned both voted but hey its only a bit of fun. all comments are welcome..i must admit i like my omega and yes it is more modern and has more toys and yes it corners better but people still pull out infront of you which was a rare thing in the senny. i have thought if i had no car and was offerd one and i had to choose one it would be very hard but i must say the senny seems more apeeling now there is so few left, i think i have only seen one in about a year.

Senator manual every time, upgrade the suspension with spax adjustables and it wipes the floor with the Omega handling wise
yep Omega is better riding car but the front wishbones are set softer
so it would, having said all tht the Omega is the same chasssis as the senny so its just differnt settings on the suspension and better sound proofing on the Omega i think which makes the difference
