Cylinder 4 misfire again
« on: 30 July 2010, 23:45:03 »

Hi all

This reoccuring problem has raised its head again only misfires on LPG, tried all the obvious like new plugs, dis pack, cam cover gaskets, breathers and throttle body cleaned. Garage where LPG conversion done have had the car on two occasions for a couple of days, only thing they can find is that the signal for the injector on cylinder looses its feed occasionally but never when running on petrol...

I'm at a bit of a loss now....if anyone has got any fresh ideas i would be grateful...

Mine was running like a pain for a while, missing on No1, the car would go into missfire mode, an absolute pain to drive. I guessed it was not enough gas going in, bought a new vapouriser, set it up and the exact same missing. I had the vap pressure set to 1.1-1.2 bar, so we tried setting it up to 1.3 bar, and it was better, so we wound it up to 1.4 bar which is supposedly max, and hey presto, car is great, will pull up hills, accelerate no problem. My system is Bigas.
