Engine temperature
« on: 05 August 2010, 00:36:31 »

Up until the last 3 or 4 months, the engine temperature showing on the temperature gauge has been a constant 95o.  Now it has become a lot more variable.  One mark lower for high speed cruising, and 2 marks higher in traffic, or when driving off with a warm engine.

The fan seems to be running more often, as well.  And it seems to be a bit noisier.

I don't think this has got anything to do with the uneven engine speed problem - that's much more recent.

If your temperature is higher at low speed it suggests the airflow (or coolant flow) through the radiator is not sufficient .... so perhaps the main fan is not fully functional or the thermostat is defective?
