Stalling!
« on: 05 August 2010, 14:48:39 »

Hi everyone, been a long time and no real probs to report untill now, lol....

had a rough idle due to old spark plugs but after fitting new spark plugs the engine every now and then "dies".. no stuttering or jerking, its like i turn off the ignition, it starts up again just fine and runs as smooth as anything but just decides to stop running every now and then.  if i feather the throttle a gnats over idle speed its fine, dont stall or dip in rpm at all but when i leave it to idle speed control it does it, i changed the idle control valve and the problem is still exactly the same, if i turn on the air con the idle raises and does when its in gear (auto) as well so the ecu has control of the idle,  anyone got any ideas?

for now i have unpluged the electrical connector to the idle control vale and i have a stable idle of about 700 rpm, and everything else if fine, got new exhaust fitted, oil n filter change, and new front discs and pads fitted that i got delivered for only £53 the lot! its running so well apart from the occasional stalling!
