last month, when I start the engine it cut off if I don't accelerate. above 2000 rpm it runs perfectly, but when I stop making gas it cuts off.

I did pedal trick and I got these codes:

- P0100 - MAF Sensor Circuit Insufficient Activity
- P0130 - Heated Oxygen Sensor (HO2S) Circuit Closed Loop (CL) Performance Bank 1 Sensor 1
- P0150 - Heated Oxygen Sensor (HO2S) Circuit Closed Loop (CL) Performance Bank 2 Sensor 1
- P0173 - Fuel Trim Bank 2
- P1700 - Transmission Control Module (TCM) Requested MIL Illumination.

yesterday I strated to clean the whole air intake system (throttle) but I'm not sure if I can resolve the problem.

PS: I'm living in very hot country (48C average), ad also my english is not famous

If the car drives better, more reliably, with maf unplugged replace maf.

Hi Gents,

when I removed the black plastic air breather, I have found that these very small 2 holes are blocked and I could not blow throgh the small hose. please see the pic for illustration.
and what the consequence if these 2 holes are blocked? tnx

the problem is resolved. it was the MAF sensor, when I have unplugged it, the car started normaly.

blocked breathers means blown cam cover seal (£70)

blocked breathers means blown cam cover seals (£70) giving oil leak, probably oil into plug wells which will fry the dis pacs causing missfires (£130odd each)

excatly! I have some oil on the cam cover, but yesterday while assembling everything and for the last check I found that some crews on the cam cover were a bit loosen. so now if I'll change the MAF, air filter as well. I hope everything will be ok. touch wood lol...Thank Chris once again

Yes I found loose bolts as well, at about 80,000miles. IMO it's a sign the seals are going hard and retracting maybe? They don't last forever.

Try re torquing the bolts to 8nm, no more, clear the breathers as your doing, and go from there.

But you may well find this only delays the inevitable leaks, only use genuine gm cam seals and o rings when replacing, as the guide, black goo needed too.

This is all normal on the omega sadly.
