Advice given by various members is to satay clear of Kwik fit.

Price varies but seems to be £45 in Rotherham/Sheffield.

In the South East I can get a inspection, full vacuum, re-lube, and re-gas for £49-95, and various mobile specialist charging between this and £70. ;) ;)

If you ever go near Feltham there's a place right near the station that does a full vac and re-gas for c£40. They do a proper job taking over an hour - not just a simple five minute top up!

I paid £22.55 + VAT for a pressure test (passed) then £34.03 + VAT for regas last month.

Then this month the AC was rubbish so took it back and they found the valve where they regas was leaking.  moved the valve about (ball valve) so probably dirt from when they tested & regassed.
Then they wanted to charge me again and never regassed. I argued against payment and eventually they agreed.

But still i paid £66.48 and have rubbish aircon!!!

So I would not recommend Hall's in Swindon (or bristol). Not in the OP area I know.

Just make sure they add 1.  Oil and 2.  Dye (so that when it leaks and it will, you can see where it is getting out)  :y

Happy days. Job done for £64, full works, oiled and ready to roll with 950 of refrigerant gas.. very thorough and the chap was a diamond geezer.
I would recommend Air Medic to anyone. Now I hope we have late summer heatwave  8-)

Where in enfield is this? Mine is still cold but I should really service it.

Took my brothers Civic to Kwik Fit and I think they just pressure tested it and topped it up with refridgerent. Rather not take my car there even though its worth a lot less.  :D

DickFit and Haflords are always the very last resort. Used both and both were total crap, heavy on the pocket too!
The dealer stealers are the worst of the lot!
Pity you are not near me or I could give a you a bloke that is brilliant, reliable, fast and has reasonable rates.
When you do find one you like, keep to it!
