Drivers Door Strap
« on: 06 August 2010, 15:11:07 »

My drivers door strap is suddendly sticking and to open/close the door is extremely hard work to the point im worried the bracket on the car will snap.

Ive tried oil/grease so I presume a mechinism inside the door is broken.

Can anyone point me in the right direction of a guide on how to fix this and an idea on how much the parts will be?

Cheers

Vauxhall sell a repair kit that is remarkably effective (so long as the hinge hasn't been ripped off the metal yet. It costs pence.

Do a search on the forum in maintenance guides. I would for you but my highspeed Internet has gone third world on me.

Next one down the list  ;)
http://www.omegaowners.com/forum/YaBB.pl?num=1152902108 all the better if you can catch it before it breaks the metal away from the leading edge of the door. I needed a new stay too as the old remanant were lying in the botton of the door when I got around to doing something with my door.
