My drivers door strap is suddendly sticking and to open/close the door is extremely hard work to the point im worried the bracket on the car will snap.

Ive tried oil/grease so I presume a mechinism inside the door is broken.

Can anyone point me in the right direction of a guide on how to fix this and an idea on how much the parts will be?

try tightening the bolts that conect it to the door may help

Vauxhall sell a repair kit that is remarkably effective (so long as the hinge hasn't been ripped off the metal yet. It costs pence.

is all I can find but its the internal part of the strap I need to find out about. Nothing in haynes either.
