bonnet release needs adjusting
« on: 13 August 2010, 11:04:37 »

help!..I tried to open the bonnet the other day but it refused to budge, there seems to be a lot of play on the cable, i can pull the release handle much further than normal. The cable needs tightening but how do I get at it without raising the bonnet.

bonnet needs to be open to adjust the cable, get an assistant to press down on the bonnet while you pull on the handle, when its up grease the bonnet catch and adjust out the slack

If you are on your own pull the bonnet release handle while at the same time gently bang on the back of the bonnet it is easy with the door open. :y
Just follow the how to guide to adjust the cable.
