Its one thing i hate about the car,the soft coating in the cabin is terrible, the climate buttons, window switches, coating on the internal close handles etc, may have looked great straight out the wrapper but now it just makes the interior look old and shabby

Being on the cautious side here, early and late Facelifts units are different part No.s, not sure if there interchangeable.

WHO HO HO !!!!

That is some work to replace it !!!
:(

If you have a facelift model:
Actually once the radio's out, the two screws at the top of the console as circled in the picture, and gently unclip the bottom half of the console.  You can then tilt the top of the console towards the rear of the car, and remove the aircon unit out the rear once you unplug the x2 plugs at the back of it, and leaver out the unit each side by lifting up the locking tabs.

In the photos, and written description may sound difficult and a lot of hassle to do, but it isn't honestly.

I have an old aircon unit, I'll see if the panel buttons are in good condition, and let you know.

An easy cheap fix is matt black nail polish from the missus, yeah it covers the words for the lights to show through but in my opinion its better that than a big white worn button, plus its usually the buttons used most, and in paticular the 'OFF' button, so in theory you should know what the button does without a word on it.

Not an ideal long term fix but as i said far far better than a big white horrible button
Who turns it off :o ;D

Mine is rarely switched on. ::)................which, I think is what brought to light the LPG plumbing issue.
Still dont know what the eco button does. :-[

It brings an ECO light up on the panel to make you feel good. Apart from that i haven't a clue.

Okay,

So which buttons are you after ?.

Top left or right, and bottom left to right 1-9 ?.

If the electronic board looks weird, it's just because the photograph is in x3 segments  :y
