Dash removal.
« on: 31 August 2010, 19:36:46 »

For reasons I'd rather not go into I'm in the process of removing the dash board from my 1999 pre facelift Omega.
I've removed all the fixings I can see, and it does feel pretty loose. Now, I'm assuming it's just the two large bolts that go in to the sides that are holding it in, the ones that are revealed when you open the front doors.
I've undone them as much as I can but do I need to remove the doors (or cut the bolts), or are there any more hidden fixings that I should know about... I was expecting to see bolts under the windscreen demister trim, but no?

Cheers, in advance.

Cheers for that, but I meant the whole dash board, not just the clocks and switch panel...

It's probably the way I've written it, It can be hard to make your self understood if your not used to writing/typing all of the time!
Did you see the bit about removing the doors!?

The centre console, that runs between the front seats, is out.
Whatever is holding the dash in, is somewhere up near the top...

I don't know why but I find that comment quite funny, no offence intended, and thanks for taking the time to find and post up the info, by the way!

Absolutely no offense taken.    :y

With apologies to the OP for irrelevance:

Kneepad, you have an awesome face!

Wise, tough, poetic tendencies?, Norseman ancestry?,  whisky-drinker?, fisherman?, dispatching cheeky-chavvy youngsters with the raise of an eyebrow? - what's not to like?  ;D
