Cable tray
« on: 03 September 2010, 21:38:54 »

This might be a stupied question but please bare with me for a mo.

I have been following the guide on changeing the cam covers on a V6 (replaceing mine  again) and have noticed that this tray cant be seen over the passenger side cam cover itself.... is there a way of disconecting it  so it can be moved out of the way while im refitting the cam cover ( as mine at the mo is right in the way )

You can disconnect it, but I always found the easiest thing is to ease the loom out of the cable ducting, and remove the plastic ducting completely. This leaves a lot more room to see and get the P/S cover removed and replaced.

There are little tags along the top, so have to undo them with a thin screwdriver and the lid will come off ;)

use cable ties to lift it toward the bonnet and keep it there.
