So the guy that owned my Catera before me took the torque converter's bolts out, mainly because he had intentions of pulling the engine and putting a V8 in it. My question is, is this the type of car that requires you to match the converter to the flywheel because of weights, or is this one where it can be bolted up any way with no problems? I certainly hope I don't have to match it up a specific way, you can't see anything!

Got the car on jackstands today and hoping to get this done.

converter does not need to be indexed to flex plate.

both converter and flex plate are balanced separately before assembly.

Yep, fits any way.

Do make absolutely sure that you fit the convertor to the box and its fully home before re-assembly (if its been removed).

Mounting it on the flex plate and then offering the box up has a habit of not engaging the convertor to the box properly with the result being one crushed torque convertor!
