brake failure

Just fitted new front pads pedal dropped to floor changed master cylinder brakes rock hard  as soon as i switch on pedal drops to the floor again blead it in the right order and still the same any ideas

Did you clamp the flexihose when you pushed the caliper pistons back? If not, you *may* have inverted mastercylinder seals.


Failing that, still air in there. As longer as no air in abs pump, a simple bleed should get rid of any air. Air in abs pump is a tech2 job

How did you bleed the brakes and what was the 'correct' order?

there is unions on top of the pump.. first thou i would use flex brake pipe clamps to try and suss which circuit has the air in.
if you need to and you know what your doing there is a way to activate the pump without kit.

Diagnostics equipment to continuously run the pump in 10s bursts to pump the air out. Pain.
