From stripping my pre facelift Mv6 I've discovered my car had two aux. water pumps, one mounted to the radiator and another one bolted to the inner wing, that one was plumbed into the h.b.v. and the matrix.

I will be keeping it Albs, but if the general concensus here is to bin it, there has to be a reason. I would just like to know why it is advisable to get rid.

I would not say general concensus.

I persoanly always found it helped to get the interior a bit warmer a bit quicker in winter to.

thanks for all the reply´s guys.! Thats some good info.

Im a bit worried these days because i found that when i turn off the engine while hot, the coolant hoses gets REALLY hard.. Ofcourse they will expand a bit because the water is hot and not circulating because the engine is off.
I just think they are abnormal hard.
So i hoped that someone would respond that the device i uploaded a picture off, was an aux.waterpump designed to circulate hot coolant when engine was switched off.
Because that would explain why my coolant hoses got rock hard when engine was stopped. ( as in if that waterpump didnt work , i could be the reason.)
