Makes the changes even smoother, and seems to reduce the 'slip' in the gearbox when pulling away :)

 Tony talked me through every aspect of the setup, the effect it has, and how it's adjusted - most only needed a little tweak, but he ended up taking over 1 degree of camber off each front wheel.  :o With the car up in the air, Tony showed me the effect it was having, scrubbing the inside edges of the front tyres.

 I'd always been impressed with how the Omega handled for a 1600kg anyway - but with it set up, it's like driving a whole new car. Highspeed stability, and braking, are both far far better - and it goes exactly where you want, instantly upon turning the wheel; previously, it took a moment, which I'd put purely down to the sheer weight of the car...

 Well worth a 500 mile round trip. :y :D

That sounds great. I emailed them this week for a quote. £85+vat. The inside of my tyres are a disgrace...do I need new tyres before the adjustments or does it matter?
Not necessarily.  And he is quite competitive on tyres if you want to call for a quote ;)

I was just giving someone else the chance to look clever. However, seeing as that is for too much to expect, here goes.

The automatic gearbox upgrade is a firmware upgrade to the latest version. It is applied by attaching the car to a genuine GM Tech2 and then upgrading the firmware.

The result is that the gearbox changes are much smoother and it seems to lock in top gear at lower speeds although, this does not appear to have a positive affect on consumption. Several members, who have had the upgrade done, have reported that the only way they could tell that the car had changed gear was to look at the rev counter. I wouldn't go that far but would say that it was a worthwhile modification unless you intend to tow a caravan with cruise control, this makes the car stay in 3rd gear for too long and destroys fuel economy. Hope this is a more helpful, if less concise, reply.  :y

Yep Tony is the man got back from my 2k fine tune last thursday its worth it as you say its not very often you get under your car on ramps. :y :y
