LMAO. The front seats come from a two door. They've got the tilt levers on them.  ;D

grill is right for model, but the rear panel is an add on, that age shold have had grey painted centre between the lights

The recaro interior will be out of a 4 door, but they alway put tilt levers on them, he seats were exactly the same as Mk1 astra GTE ones.

Why the hell have they put rear discs on it, that this is now overbraked and will swap ends, there is no need to do something like that unless you are putting an XE or LET in there, even then a set of GSI front disc and calipers and some well set up read drums will do the trick everytime

These were my weapon of choice in the 80's and 90's, could show an XR3 or an orion where to get off, and shove an XE into one and it will show a GSI cav a clean pair of mudflaps  ;D ;D

this one is an odd one,......
A reg, but it's one of the first of the CDi's
Manual rear windows, CD's had elec all round
It had the CD 'handbags' they are as rare as hens teeth

the rear arches have been replaced, no cut line in them
the wheels look awful, will make it handle like a dog and he will be constantly up and down the gears as this car has ultra long ratio box and on the motorway it will not pull with 17's on it

Had a new base model estate in 1984, great big jump up from an ASTRA
Always aspired to the CD or SRI, managers ran these.
This is an iffy site for nostalgia, the other night it was Cortina’s and the like, I think I may be older than I thought, given the many decades of cars I have experienced.
Before there are too many sarcastic comments, seemingly favoured by some members, who mentioned ASTRA’S? my daughter is only 7 though I do have 3 older step sons.

:)I had a mk2 Cav, red saloon A79 SBP. Not that old when i bought it for £750. Considering i was a single Dad of my then young son, living illegally with a girlfriend. Not right i know, but cabbing "on the side" in a company 2.0 Sapphire F150 NOY enabled me to replace my knackered 'Tina TVP249S with the Cav. You do what you have to hence the "nostalgia"
I think all 3 of these cars are still registered with Swansea on the HPi site, ( free reg no. check.)
Sorry to ramble but i'm too pi**ed to RANT.... ::)

Big blast from the past.

I first had a  Mk2 2 B reg L hatch 1.6, then swoped it for my brothers A reg 1.8CDi with the stunning 3 speed auto box :o
It had a solid sunroof that could be opened in about 2 seconds flat as you only had to pull a lever down, then slide the roof backwards.  Very usefull if you want to make rude gestures to a lorry driver who had just cut you up,
