Folks
Will try to keep this simple.
Project cdx purchased with private plate. Reason for purchase was transfer of plate to MV6. Scrap cdx/ sell parts/cheap private plate. Both cars are in my name at my address and i have v5 for both.
Donor car is cdx - No tax or mot - declared SORN at end of tax period and is off road.
Recieving car is MV6 - Fully road legal, always has been and always will be.
Got all forms to transfer the plate.
HOWEVER donor car must be taxed or SORN so i am covered.
HOWEVER donor car if SORN`d WILL be subject to local office inspection to verify it does actually legally have the cherised plate ( notes section says it should be taken to be inspected at agreed time and place so vin/ engine number are inspected)
So on the face of the DVLA terminology thats me foxtrot oscar`d
My question is has anyone been in a situation - SURELY the DVLA wont ask me to drive a non road worthy non taxed car to be inspected. SURELY if i canty meet this they wont say "tough you lose the plate??"
Does anyone know if this "probable" inspection can take place in my garage by the "regulators" Theres nothing to hide so i am perfectly comfortable with this.
grrrrrrrrr
