waiting for Green Flag!
« on: 10 October 2010, 21:23:29 »

There I was .... on my way home from work after doing a 12 hour shift, Sunday roast was waiting for me to step through the door, about 3 miles to and the charge light came on.  :-? Bugger! Pulled up in a bus stop & opened the bonnet. In the gloom I could just about find the remants of my 'fan belt' ...... bugger bugger!
Started the car and 'parked up' on a near by petrol forecourt & rang for Green Flag. They were going to be a while, so SWMBO came for me so i eat my tea while I wait for local recovery to come out to bring the car back home. In all probablity it'll have cooled down enough for me to chance the short distance back home, but hey ho! it's be the first time I'll have called them!  :y

All pulleys & tensioner were OK, I did check  :y. The belt wasn't that old, I can only assume that I had it slightly pi$$ed when I replaced it a few months ago after the cam belt change. Perhaps 'playing' on the motor way on my way home from work helped it shread.  ::)
