Bonnet release catch hard work
« on: 16 October 2010, 22:37:47 »

When opening my bonnet i have to pull the bonnet release all the way back a few times before it opens. feels like its streched? only a minor glitch i know but im assuming it will get worse. can i adjust it some way?

Yes there is a guide in maintenance section, quite straight forward, although I had a right battle with one of mine...

Yep: http://www.omegaowners.com/forum/YaBB.pl?num=1256423143

I thought I was going to have to do this to mine.. but in the end I just needed to screw the two little rubber stops (leading edge of the bonnet) in a turn or two.

It's  a good guide I used it on mine. First the Mv6 then the elite. It was either that or getting someone else to agitate bonnet while I pulled lever. Still, after adjustment, the screw and catch evetually gives up and you're back to square one.

I got my own nut and bolt and made a bracket to go in and it works now brilliantly, just got to do the elite now!
