Took the car to Kwik fit to get a re-gas after replacing the o-rings under the battery shelf as i thought this was where the leak was. Instead there is a significant leak towards the rear of the engine bay, the fluid and dye pooled onto the chassis member under the abs unit. While I suspect it is the pipes in this area does anyone have any advice before i start stripping it down? Are there any guides / pictures which may help?
To be fair to Kwik fit they didn't charge me anything due to their 'if it won't take the aircon charge they don't charge' rule.

there is a pipe running under the battery along the chassis leg to the bulkhead which is prone to rubbing on the leg and then leaking - 55 pounds from vauxhall but currently on backorder.

Had a look at the aircon pipe which runs on top of the chassis leg and under the battery shelf, due to the amount of aircon fluid and dye on the chassis leg I am hopeful that this pipe is the culprit. It has metal pipes on both ends with permanent seals to a rubber middle section.
The problem is how on earth do you get it out? The metal ends have significant bends which stops them from getting through small gaps, it goes through under the ABS unit and out through a space under the battery, on this end the clamping block looks to be part of the pipe. So what do I need to remove to get the pipe out?

Had a similar problem on my 2.5 V6, aircon suddenly stopped working and KwikFit tried regassing and didn't charge because the rubber pipe had split. Has anyone managed to work out how to replace this yet?

Finally got it sorted - I think!
With the help of Ray (cheers fella) i looked into having a replacement flexible pipe made up using the two metal ends of the leaking pipe - not possible unfortunately. So back to replacing the original with the same. Loosened the bracket holding the ABS unit to give a bit more space, fed the front end of the new pipe down the side of the ABS unit and under the battery shelf, juggled the bulkhead end of the pipe past the brake pipes and reconnected. To be honest I didn't bother trying to get it under the ABS unit, just left it alongside but made sure it was protected from rubbing. An absolute pig of a job, my left hand looks like it has been savaged by a feral cat from something under the battery shelf! I will get it regassed this week - fingers crossed  :-/
