can anyone help with these codes had car tested locally and these codes came up ?ffff,p1890,p0730,p0103,?3230,?2020,p0712,p0743 i tkink they cleared them but how can i check if there are any more

what do you mean Chris - that OBDII is possible or the codes themselves? OBD I thought was on cars from about 1997

P0203 Injector Circuit Malfunction - Cylinder 3
P0712 Transmission Fluid Temperature Sensor Circuit Low Input
P0730 incorrect gear ratio
P0743 Torque Converter Clutch Circuit Electrical

Once cleared then run car and retest. Omniscan can only do a limited job - full Tech II needed for complete job. Is car running ok with no warning lights on?

they said to wait and see if gearbox goes in to limp mode again then they will have another look have driven car since and doesnt seem to bang into third so far so i just have to wait and see was just wondering if they had cleared the codes last code check cost me £60

Please describe circumstances when gearbox goes into limp mode - does engine rev and appears to be in neutral, and then suddenly engages with a clunk which triggers lmp mode?

yes thats what happens but it doesn't happen all the time

there are a lot of different theories on this - my personal one is the crank sensor - change this first - if it still continues then go for ATF and gearbox filter change

Obd2 is the industry standard for fault/trouble codes.

It was applied to the omega at a certain point, which I am vague on. Thought it was late 99 on, but there you go.

Pre obd2 codes are mostly 3diigit, yours gives 4 digit obd2 which is good and makes buying a simple code reader easier I guess, and note, the pedal trick and paper clip test only read engine codes, so you will need a reader to see and clear them from any other ecu including auto box, and at £60 a go at your local garage buying your own makes sense.
