Scratches from wiper pressure on windscreen
« on: 21 October 2010, 22:10:17 »

Hi guys,
I remember reading somewhere about scratches on the windscreen caused by the pressure from the normal wipers marking the glass, unfortunately I can't remember where I found this and I was wondering if anybody could point me in the right direction re removing these scratches without having to replace the windscreen? They're only surface scratches, my fingernail won't catch on them, they're just unsightly slightly affect vision when the light hits them.
Cheers :)

I had this on a mk2 cav, I used rubbing compound and a polisher (not the orbital one) the pad on an angle grinder type, only downside is the windscreen is a nightmare to see out of in the dark when its raining for a good few washes.
