Reports of it being bad for mayoing up, suggest GM's own 10 by 40 semi synthetic, cheap as on a Trade Card :y

no, its over-priced for what it is. GM Semi Synth all the way, it creates a lot less mayo too

Personally, I wouldn't put that Castrol in my lawnmower, let alone a car :P

I'd stick to the GM stuff (£35 + VAT for 4 x 5l on TC), and change it every 3-5k.  This will do your engine the world of good :y

Now you all tell me....  :-[ I just got 5 litres of the stuff.

Never mind, it seems to work well in the old dear's Freelander so I'll stick it in that, it's due a change anyway.  :)

It will be fine in there, it will need a head gasket before the oil needs a change  ::)

Ah, already done the head gasket, although not for the so-called usual reasons.   ;)
