fan belt snapped

hello just driving home in my mini facelift omega elite 3ltr auto and the belt snapped lost power battery dead!!! is there a how too that someone could point me in the right direction please??

Firstly check all the pulleys and the tensioner are free turning, belts seldom 'just snap'. As for fitting the new belt turn the nut on the tensioner (very top left) clockwise after routing the belt aboud the rest of the pulleys. Slide the belt over the tensioner and release the pressure off the spanner slowly.
