REAR SHOCKS THE SAME? SALOON/ESTATE?

Bit worried now are the shocks the same for the estate,elite 2.5 tdi 1996,as the saloon,bought fro euro parts on line give them full reg no.,they are sachs part no.s are.635 72 0400 and 105841,just thought i would ask before i take my car to bits? Cheers

There are different between saloon and estate

should be ok just noticed on invoice states :estate:they just look different off the car,

Had the wrong ones suplied & fitted to my Estate & it wallowed & bottomed over bumps

My elite is fitted with auto levelling system, which means it has an air inlet nipple halfway down the body. I do belive that they can be replaced with  the cheaper non auto leveling variant and the fuse removed for the auto levelling system. I'm sure there are numerous postings on this subject.
