I recently changed the alternator relay and the alternator isn't charging anymore.. i installed another relay but no luck either. aparently is something wrong with the charging circuit.. do you have any ideeas where i should look for a bug??

the alternator itself probably the most likely problem

before this at idle with no consumers it charged 13,7 and with cons 13-13,1 so thats why i tryed to change the regulator.. i'll see where i can borow one and check

if its charging but down on output check the wire from alternator to battery and especially at the crimp connectors at each end too see if they are getting warm under load

that was before i changed the voltage regulator.. i didn't knew that. now its probably completely dead.

please can you post some pics here on where to check the wires because i don't understand what crimp conectors are.

Basicly where the wire joins the plastic or metal 'connector' to hook over something much bigger, (as in the battery terminal).

it helps.. but where do i specificly need to check?? besides the crimps at battery terminals where are the others? when i disconect the battery i first conect the + and then the - but small sparks emerge, wich means consumers are on. is this normal??

p.s. if the crimps warm up what does it mean???
