Since new springs were fitted to the rear of my Omega earlier this week I have noticed that the back end seems to be more 'up in the air' than it was before.

Is it likely that the garage have done something to the ride height sensor while changing the springs?

New shocks were fitted a few months ago. The suspension pump doesn't seem to be running any more or less than usual.

I have just measured the ride height from wheel centre to arch at approx 40cm. This is with the engine off, should I measure with the engine running?

did they use self levelling shocks and springs?

The shocks were definitely self-levelling as I fitted those myself.

Don't know about the springs. I'll have to call in to the garage again tomorrow and ask.

Normally takes a week or two for the springs to reach the right height from the weight I think.  At least that's what I remember when fitting some springs to an MX5 I had.

A common problem with Omega rear springs is they snap near the bottom and a couple of coils fall off and can easily go unoticed (happened to mine) when they are replaced with new springs the ride hight is noticably higher

I would like to source some uprated, standard length front springs, any out there?
