Hi, we are looking at buying another omega as a runaround  until my s4 is back on the road and then mick(tyreburner) gets the omega & found one local on flea bay with less than 100k, loads of tax and mot, 3.0 elite all the toys, but asked the guy if it had any problems &
this was his reply...

Tyres are fine. Rear lots of tread. Front will probably need changing after a couple of thousand miles. I think the gear selector switch may need a clean, as after the car has been stood for a few days (bearing in mind the climate where I am) the auto box warning lights up. Once the car has warmed up, it drives perfectly.That's about it.

Whats your opinions on this please. - the climate means he lives next to see sea just by berwick??

His explanation sounds feasible. If he is wrong, the worst case scenario is to replace the box. They can be picked up for under £100 - although if you arent capable of fitting it yourself then costs will obviously rise.

Could be as simple as a transmission fluid top up.

if needed & he said 80 to 100 quid, but he is a bit rough & ready.
